Jane Fisher is a painter based in Oakland, California. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is an associate professor of painting and figure drawing at Diablo Valley College.

Here is the finished head. I still have to hollow it out and fire it. Then the fun begins!

- Large Ceramic Head Project
I have been talking about making a large scale clay head for a while. With the encouragement of my colleagues in the ceramics department at Diablo Valley College and 500 pounds of clay, I am doing it! Here are pictures of the thing in various stages. The model is my husband’s uncle Geoff (a.k.a. Jacuzz).
